BitGo has introduced qualified custody support for the Canton Network, marking a significant milestone for institutional investors. The MOVE establishes BitGo as the first U.S.-based qualified custodian for the network's native token, CC, backed by $250 million in institutional insurance.

The Canton Network, a privacy-focused blockchain, supports over $6 trillion in on-chain assets and nearly $280 billion in daily repo transactions. Its ecosystem, bolstered by more than 600 validators, positions it as a leader in tokenized assets and stablecoin settlements.

This integration bridges digital assets with traditional finance, offering 24/7 settlement, collateral mobility, and institutional-grade control. The development follows recent regulatory approvals for BitGo, Ripple, and Coinbase to operate as qualified custodians in the U.S.
